You can also program one radio and clone it to the other easily with a 1/8” cable that I will also include. It allows you to connect either scanner to a computer by USB for programming via software and/or firmware updates. ![]() I also have the suggested Radio Shack scanner connectivity cable that I keep in the original packaging, which I will include. The paper ones are in the lost boxes, along with the DC cable. Both scanners have PDF manuals available online. It’s an option and available online for about $8.00 and will also charge the batteries while powering the scanner. The handheld comes with the scanner, the body armor case, a very nice hi-gain antenna, and I’ll throw in a set of good rechargeable batteries. I enjoyed the base unit so much, I bought the handheld version in case of a power outage or if I DID want to go portable or mobile. It’s been in the protective case since day one and has never been dropped. It’s in perfect condition and I bought a $35.00 body armor case for it brand new. I’ve only used it as a base unit next to my recliner. The DC adapter is inexpensive and available online if you want to order one to go mobile). You would need the DC adapter to make it a mobile unit. I moved two years ago and in the process somehow misplaced the boxes for both units, therefore the base unit comes with the scanner, the telescopic antenna, the mobile bracket, and the AC power adapter (everything you need for the base unit. These are great scanners that were top of the line when I bought them brand new. I live in rural Mississippi and as you can imagine, there are very limited selections of transmissions to monitor. And they DO monitor Project 25, Phase ONE. I recently updated them both to the latest version, which allows them to perform “rebanding”, a change in how trunk systems communicate. These scanners will work with a LOT of systems and both have updatable firmware. ![]() The only reason I am selling them is because our local police departments have now gone to Project 25, Phase 2 radio systems and I can no longer pick up the particular departments that I want to monitor. They are basically identical radios, one is the handheld battery powered version (Pro-106)and the other is the base unit (Pro-197). They are both in like-new condition, functionally and cosmetically. Scanners for sale: Pro-197 Base Unit and Pro-106 Handheld Unit with extras for both! I am selling both of my RadioShack police scanners.
